Mini-battery a mighty achievement
Abstract:
Dale Teeters and his undergraduate students at the University of Tulsa have created such a small battery that they can fit 60 of them across the width of a human hair. It is so small it can't be seen with the unaided eye or even with traditional microscopes. The small power source called a nanobattery is designed to run the ever-shrinking nanomachines popping up around the world. The nanomachines operate on the level of a nanometer, which is one-billionth of a meter. (more on earlier article)
