Forget fiction: nano motors are here
Abstract:
A molecular motor about a billion times smaller than the one that powers a car has been successfully built and tested for the first time, marking a milestone in the field of nanotechnology. Many proteins in the body act as motors, and this has inspired attempts by nanotechnologists to attempt to make microscopic machines for a wide range of tasks, from altering the shape of a material to clearing blood vessels.
