Paint changes colour in tiny world of molecular robot

Abstract:
Clothes that shrink to fit the wearer and paint that changes colour in the dark moved a step closer to reality yesterday as researchers unveiled the latest breakthrough in nanotechnology. Scientists at Edinburgh University, working with a team in Bologna, announced they had produced "remote control" molecular motors - robots the size of a grain of sand that can spin when directed by a beam of light.
