Stability of magnetic nanoparticles gets a boost
Abstract:
As magnetic nanoparticles decrease in size, thermal fluctuations can cause random flipping of the magnetic moment. With this in mind, scientists from have used an antiferromagnetic matrix to improve the magnetic stability of ferromagnetic cobalt nanoparticles.
