Single-electron transistors shed heat
Abstract:
Characterizing the electron flow and the resulting causes of heat dissipation in low-dimensional nanoscale electronics could lead to cool-running single-electron "quantum dot" transistors, according to a researcher here at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
