Abstract:
AXT would like to announce its new partnership with NT-MDT, one of the world's leading manufacturers of Atomic Force Microscopes (AFM). NT-MDT has been involved in the producing instrumentation for nanotechnology research for over 20 years. This new agreement will see AXT represent NT-MDT in Australia and New Zealand, looking after both sales and service.

AXT Extend Nanotechnology Offerings to Include NT-MDT AFM Solutions

Sydney, Australia | Posted on February 19th, 2015

Richard Trett, Managing Director of AXT commented, "NT-MDT instruments have redefined usability in AFM, bringing a depth of applications to a broader user base. Also setting the bar for performance, it's a perfect addition to our nanotechnology arsenal."

AXT's Microscopy Product Manager, Dr. Kamran Khajehpour went further and said, "I am extremely excited about the addition of NT-MDT's AFM product line to our range. Nanotechnology is a rapidly growing field that bridges materials science and life science, so their products are an ideal fit for us as we work in both these fields. With an established Australia user base we can expect to see more NT-MDT installations in Australia shortly".

NT-MDT's product line is headlined by the recently released Titanium, a revolutionary AFM system that combines a host of unique features. The top of the list is the cantilever cartridge that allows the user to load 38 tips at once. The cartridge can be configured with tips assembled according the user specifications that the system can automatically identify and the user can select at will through the simple user interface. It also features both hybrid and multi-frequency measurement modes allowing the simultaneous gathering of data from 5 different channels and the choice of over 30 different SPM measurement modes. It also features class leading drift (0.2nm/min) and long-term stability (25fm/√Hz).

They also offer the NTEGRA and NanoEducator. The NTEGRA is a modular system that can be configured in many different layouts to tailor it to several different applications including high resolution, controlled atmosphere, heating, SNOM (Scanning Near-Field Optical Microscopy), Raman Spectroscopy, biology and large samples. NT-MDT's range is rounded out by the NanoEducator, a high precision, compact solution designed for training and teaching, yet still capable of atomic level resolution and publication quality results.

Dmitry Selivanov, Regional Sales Manager from NT-MDT said, "we are pleased to be able to partner with AXT. We look forward to working with them to provide improved levels of support to existing customers as well as tapping into their existing contacts to expand our user base in Australia. As such, we hope to install the first Titanium in Australia in the near future."
