![]() |
Abstract:
Liquipel LLC (http://www.liquipel.com/), the industry leader in Watersafe technology, announced today that it had been awarded a patent for its technology that protects electronic devices from damages caused by water and other liquids. The announcement was made at the annual Startup Debut media event during the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2015 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Patent No. 8852693 was awarded on Oct. 7, 2014, and describes a process that safeguards various devices and gadgets utilizing chemicals that are safe for the environment. Liquipel can be used to treat electronic devices, including: cellular phones, smart phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), music players, cameras, video recorders, computers, tablet computers, batteries, e-readers, radio devices and gaming devices.
Compared to other treatments on the market, Liquipel delivers a nano-coating produced by a plasma process using materials that are environmentally friendly and provide distinct advantages over competitors -- including not requiring any masking and not having to be removed for repairs or replacement of parts.
Liquipel's treatment is virtually untraceable to human senses and will not affect nor compromise the look and performance of the device.
Liquipel will be at CES 2015, Jan. 6 to 9, and available for private meetings at the Brightstar meeting rooms located at The Venetian Las Vegas, Bassano Ballrooms, No. 2702 and 2703.
