Abstract:
Iran's Ministry of Education and Training in cooperation with Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council constructed and inaugurated two Nanotechnology Laboratories for Students in Isfahan and Fars provinces on February 6 and 7, 2013.
Shahreza Master Taher Students' Research Center in Isfahan province and Shiraz Razi Students' Research Center in Fars province were equipped with the laboratories on Wednesday and Thursday in the presence of the authorities of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council and the Ministry of Education and Training.
Among the devices in the laboratories, mention can be made of scanning tunneling microscope (STM), electrospinning devices to produce nanofibers, electrical explosion, and on-board sputtering.
It had been formerly announced by the authorities of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council that nanotechnology laboratories for students would be established in seven students' research centers all over the country until the end of the year. The first nanotechnology laboratory for students was inaugurated in Tehran on January 23, 2013.
After the inauguration of two laboratories in Isfahan and Fars, four other laboratories will be set up in next coming weeks in provinces of Khorassan Razavi, Northern Khorassan, Semnan, and Hamedan.
