Aculon Announces Launch of NanoClear Stencil Treatment

San Diego, CA | Posted on January 11th, 2013

Aculon, a proven supplier to the stencil industry, is launching their branded line of products. Aculon NanoClear Stencil Treatment is now 50% stronger and outperforms all existing technology in terms of performance. Extensive customer tests have demonstrated improved print quality, increased efficiency and lower operating costs. In particular, reducing the frequency of underside cleaning due to a dramatic reduction in bridging results in better print reliability as well as increased throughput. In addition, as NanoClear treats the apertures walls , it allow better performance from stencils with low aperture area ratios.

Aculon NanoClear's technology uses Self Assembled Monolayers with Phosphonates ("SAMP's") that are compatible with all common types of stencil alloys, including but not limited to: Stainless steel, Electroform, Nickel, and E-polished stencils. As the Monolayers is less than 5 nanometers thick and covalently bound to the surface there is no risk of contamination of the flux.

"The availability of NanoClear fluxophobic treatment for stencils represents a significant opportunity for the stencil industry," said Edward Hughes, CEO of Aculon. "The ability to enhance the performance of stencils with an easy to apply wipe is critical as manufacturers push the boundaries of stencil printing demanding smaller apertures, better reliability and lower operating cost. As experts in surface modification and a proven supplier to the stencil industry we are pleased to now launch our own branded and improved product."

In addition to the NanoClear wipes, Aculon is launching the Aculon NanoClear Test Pens to provide assimple and cost effective testing method for treated stencils. For more information visit www.aculon.com/stencils.php.

Aculon NanoClear products will be distributed through Datum Alloys or can be purchased directly from Aculon at www.aculon.com/stencils.php. Datum Alloys is the leading supplier quality foils to the stencil industry.
