6th Volume of Journal of Nanostructure in Chemistry (JNSC) Published

Tehran, Iran | Posted on June 29th, 2011

Articles on subjects like carbon nanotubes and reactivity of chemical compounds constitute the major parts of the contents in the sixth volume of JNSC, published periodically.

"The purpose of the publication of this journal is to introduce the regional achievements in the field of nanochemistry," Omid Moradi, the chief editor of JNSC and member of the scientific board of Shahr-e Qods Branch of Islamic Azad University, said.

"Since the beginning of the publication of this journal, 63 articles composed by the domestic and international researchers have so far been published in it, among which 3/4 of the articles were submitted by the domestic researchers and 1/4 by the researchers from the countries like India, Brazil, Mexico, and the US," he added.

Dr. Karim Zare' from Martyr Beheshti University is the editor in chief of JNSC and Dr. Alireza Abbaspour-rad from Harvard University is the manager of this journal. Among the editors of this journal from foreign countries, mention can be made of Prof Ali Mansouri from University of Illinois in the US, Sulabha Kashinad Kulkarni from the Indian Nanotechnology Research Centre, and Vitaly Petranovsky from the Mexican University.

The first volume of JNSC was published in summer 2010, and it included eight articles related to nanochemistry. The journal has acquired the confirmation of the Islamic World Scientific Citation Centre (ISC), and it publishes various articles in the fields of nanochemistry, carbon nanotubes, synthesis of organic and inorganic compounds, and nanobiotechnology.
