Abstract:
Iranian Ministry of Agriculture has established international standard of ISO/IEC17025 in laboratories of nondestructive testing for the first time in the Middle East.
"After 18 months of constant efforts made by the institute laboratories managers and experts, the requirements of this standard were met and after several steps of internal and external audits the certificate of establishment of this standard for 90% of the institute laboratories was issued by DAP Institute of Germany," Head of Engineering Research Institute of Ministry of Agriculture Afshin Masoud stated during a ceremony held for receiving the international certificate.
Meantime, Manager of Iran Nanotechnology Laboratory Network Reza Asadifar said during the ceremony that receiving this certificate will be one of the requirements for laboratories to become a member of the network in following years.
He also introduced the network and the supports it provides for laboratories that are members of the network.
Ismaeel Fallah Rostami, one of the advisors to the Engineering Research Institute in standard establishment affairs, was the next lecturer who considered ISO/IEC17025 international standard as a means for better use of laboratory equipment and an evolutionary way for laboratory management systems.
He also evaluated cooperation and supports of nanotechnology laboratory network so helpful and practical.
Engineering research institute of Ministry of Agriculture, founded in 1983 to conduct research projects in different fields of agriculture and industry, is one of the members of Iran Nanotechnology Laboratory Network.
