Micropulse also has established strategic relationships with startup companies. The company's expertise "is something we can offer," Emerick said.
Specifically, Micropulse is working with Nanovis, a startup company at the Purdue University Research Park in West Lafayette. Nanovis is developing and marketing nanotechnology that, when added to a knee or other implant surface, will help the body grow around the device instead of fighting it.
