You get a say in nano revolution
Abstract:
You can soon have your say on the next big scientific wave that could radically change our daily lives.
The NSW Government will hold a public inquiry into the pro and cons of nanotechnology, a field of science that involves matter so small it could cross the body's membranes and affect cells and tissue in the body.
"Nanotechnology offers the promise of breakthroughs that will revolutionise the way we detect and treat disease; monitor and protect the environment; and produce and store energy," Ms Firth said.
"But before the technology's full potential can be released, safety and ethical concerns need to be assessed by governments."
