Congress approves funding for arsenal, hospital projects
Abstract:
The U.S. House of Representatives has approved millions of dollars in federal funding for projects at hospitals in the Albany, N.Y., area, the Watervliet Arsenal in nearby Watervliet, N.Y., and other nearby institutions.
Projects at the Watervliet Arsenal include: $1.6 million for a Nanoscale StageGate Accelerator to develop and commercialize nanotechnology products for the U.S. Army; $9.6 million for an arsenal support initiative to market its unused space and attract new businesses to the Arsenal Partnership; and $3.2 million for a C9 Corp. project to develop a hybrid electric combat vehicle.
