Tax breaks are considered for companies supporting innovation processes, industrial research, and commerce.
Only Minneapolis and Los Angeles, CA have a higher density of bio-medical enterprises than the Valley of Modena, Northeast of Lazio. Over 105 companies with over 4,000 employees cluster in the area. Additionally, more than 1,200 employees work in nanotechnology throughout Italy.
