Abstract:
The next Nano & Giga Challenges Symposium and Summer School (NGC2009) will hosted by McMaster University (August 10-14, 2009, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada) as a joint meeting with the 14th Canadian Semiconductor Technology Conference (CSTC2009)
The Nano and Giga Challenges (NGC) conference series was launched as a truly interdisciplinary forum to bridge scientists and engineers to work across boundaries in design of future information technology from atoms to materials and devices and ultimately to system architecture. Following three successful meetings in Moscow, Russia (NGCM2002), Krakow, Poland (NGCM2004) and Phoenix, AZ, USA (NGC2007) the 4th NGC Symposium and Summer School (NGc2209) will be held August 10-14, 2009 in Hamilton, ON, Canada as a joint meeting with the 14th Canadian Semiconductor Technology Conference (CSTC2009) hosted by McMaster University. The NGC2009 & CSTC2009 meeting topics will include advanced research and future technology development in nanoelectronics, photonics and renewable energy - solar energy systems, fuel cells and batteries. The meeting will provide a stimulating environment for active networking and information exchange by bridging leaders and young researchers in information technology and energy system design at the nanoscale level. The meeting will also include technology-business interface sessions to assist scientists, engineers, and industry leaders in development of entrepreneurial ventures based on disruptive nanotechnology innovations. International researchers, managers and investors are invited to explore scientific collaboration and business opportunities in Canada. Sponsors are welcome!
