'Nanobiotechnology to improve health, diagnostic methods'
Abstract:
The Nanotechnology has become a fast growing area in all aspects of scientific research in the recent past and at present biotechnology applications performed in the submicrone range, now known as nanotechnology, has emerged as the potential leader for innovations in the medical and biological fields, Senior Lecturer Department of Chemistry, University of Peradeniya, D.N. Karunaratne said.
Making a presentation at the Techno Summit 2007 held at the BMICH recently, he said in the latter part of 20th century, electronics has advanced at an exponential pace and therefore nanobiotechnology would generate an entirely new world for new applications of the old systems.
