ITRI pushes technology sector to new frontiers of innovation
Abstract:
As the ITRI places great emphasis on playing a more pioneering and exploratory role, the institute has established six core laboratories: information and communications; electronics and optoelectronics; nanotechnology; material and chemical; energy and environment, biomedical technology; and advanced manufacturing and systems.
"As leaders in distinct fields, the core labs function like a set of incubators that can provide ongoing research for deeper and newer ideas," Lee explained. "Whenever a new idea emerges and we recognize its market potential, we will move it out to a focus center that can respond faster to the market and integrate different resources," he added.
