Abstract:
Veeco Instruments Inc. (Nasdaq: VECO) today announced that it has appointed William A. Tomeo, 56, to the position of Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Service, which includes global field sales, account management, customer service and field support for all domestic and international Veeco customers.
Mr. Tomeo brings to Veeco over 35 years of sales, marketing and general management experience with some of the world's leading technology companies. He joins Veeco from JDSU, where he most recently served as Vice President/General Manager of the Service Assurance Solutions Division of the Communications Test business. Mr. Tomeo's extensive technology industry experience also includes a key marketing role at Agilent Technologies, and over 20 years at Hewlett Packard, where he served as Vice President, Marketing & Worldwide Sales for the Communications Test Solutions Group. Mr. Tomeo has also served as President and CEO of several start-up high technology companies during his career.
Veeco also announced that John K. Bulman, formerly Senior Vice President of North American and Sector Sales for Veeco, will retire at the end of 2007.
John R.
