Applied Nanoscience, Inc. (ANI) (PINKSHEETS: APNN) today announced that it will coordinate all of the necessary remaining tests to have Emergency Filtration Products, Inc. (EFP), its proposed merger partner, file a new 510(k) notification for the NanoMask with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

About Applied Nanoscience, Inc.
"Applied Nanoscience, which developed the technology that EFP uses to coat its NanoMask filter, has recently taken a more active role to complete the remaining scientific testing in order to fully respond to FDA comments relating to the product," said Thomas K. Allen, President and CEO, ANI. "We believe that our intrinsic understanding of the synthesis and process of applying custom designed nanoparticles with the capability of addressing a broad range of pathogens, including avian influenza, places us in a unique position to aid our future partner to rapidly attain its FDA objectives."
