Abstract:
In response to customer requests to have direct access to the technical team in the UK, Applied Scintillation Technologies (AST) announces that it will be handling enquiries from the United States directly from its UK headquarters with immediate effect. AST is one of the leading suppliers of advanced imaging and detection solutions using phosphor and scintillation technology.

Direct Access To Applied Scintillation Technologies For US Customers

UK | Posted on October 5th, 2007

AST Sales & Marketing Director, Stuart Quinn, commented: "The extremely technical nature of our business in ensuring that we produce the best scintillators or coatings for our customers meant that we already had a good deal of direct contact with customers. However, when our US distributor decided to pursue a different career path, it gave us the perfect opportunity to take direct responsibility for US activities from our Harlow base."

"In January, 2007", he continued, "Technical Director Dr Glenn Tyrrell (now CEO at AST) and I purchased a majority shareholding in AST. Part of our plans for developing the company is to make the business more efficient. Involving our technical teams with potential customers at the earliest possible opportunity is one of the ways that we can do this, especially where language is not an issue. AST already has a healthy international base and we are seeking to build and expand on that".

With new marketing collateral in preparation which has been designed to help customers through the process of specifying scintillator and phosphor coating requirements, the direct sales initiative in the US will serve to streamline the whole procedure which should be to everybody's benefit.
