UK nanotech health firm seeks distributor
Abstract:
UK-based Orla Protein Technologies saw India as a new market for its nanotechnology products.
The UK pound 200,000 company manufactured niche and specialised products like cell culture surfaces, and liquid proteins.
While around 50 per cent of the cell culture surface market was in the US, it was saturated and rigid, claimed Jeremy Lakey, founder and scientific director of Orla.
Orla was in India as the country would be a big market in ten years. The worldwide market for the cell culture nanotechnology sector was estimated at $1 billion, growing at the rate of 10 to 15 per cent.
