Nanotechnology in Toronto
Abstract:
A significant amount of biomedical research in North America takes place in one of the prominant biotechnology hubs surrounding Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Now, nanotechnology has taken hold in the region as well. Toronto company, Northern Nanotechnologies Inc. was featured in the Toronto Star Business section yesterday (Monday September 3, 2007). The company is just over a year old and built on a patent developed at the University of Toronto for their "Nanocrafting" process to develop large quantities of nanoparticles in a commercially viable cost-effective way.
