Convergence of technologies is hope for the future: Kalam
Abstract:
Forecasting that convergence of technologies is the hope for the future, former President A P J Abdul Kalam has said it will help in various fields -- from revolutionising aerospace to ensuring a disease-free habitat.
"IT combined with bio-technology had led to bio-informatics while nanotechnology is now knocking at our doors," he said adding that it will replace microelectronics and many fields with tremendous application potential in the areas of medicine, electronics and material sciences.
He said that the convergence of ICT, aerospace and nanotechnologies will revolutionise the aerospace industry and electronics, leading to nano computing sciences.
