Kalam’s take on telemedicine
Abstract:
During the course of the teleconference, when he was informed that V Santha, chairperson of the Cancer Institute, was at another centre, Kalam recommended a cancer laboratory be set up with nanotechnology and biotechnology facilities.
He visited one such private laboratory at Seoul in South Korea where a nanorobot was being developed to treat cancer patients. It would search for the cancer cell in the blood and diagnose it using chemotheraphy.
