![]() |
Abstract:
BioForce Nanosciences, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of BioForce Nanosciences Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB:BFNH), announced today the receipt of an award on June 5th from the Iowa Small Business Innovation Research / Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) program for the "Most Successful Commercialization Result of an SBIR/STTR Funded Project." Since 2002, BioForce has received three SBIR awards totaling $1.3 million, which funded portions of the development of the Nano eNabler™ molecular printer and the SPT™ print cartridges it uses.
BioForce's Founder and CEO, Dr. Eric Henderson accepted the award and says, "BioForce Nanosciences is grateful for our success with the SBIR/STTR grant program, especially that administered by the National Institutes of Health. The SBIR funding has been a tremendous boost to BioForce's product commercialization success. The success is reflected by the Company's 200 percent employee growth during 2006 and BioForce's highest revenues ever in the first quarter of 2007."
The Nano eNabler system dispenses very small drops of liquid onto surfaces with precision and speed. With this innovative surface patterning tool, BioForce offers scientists a practical solution to problems they encounter when developing ultra miniaturized bioanalytical and biomedical devices. The print cartridges used by the Nano eNabler™ system, or surface patterning tools (SPT™), give the Nano eNabler system its unique qualities at the benefit of scientists in many disciplines. SPT print cartridges can have single or multiple print heads for simultaneous printing of a variety of molecular species or materials.
