Nanotech Park to support IT industrialists to compete global market
Abstract:
Government will be establishing a Nanotech park which will extend the capability and add much more scope for the Sri Lankan industrialists involved in Nano technological based products, to compete with the global market.
This 5.5 billion rupee programme which will be completed within five years will be funded through Public-Private Partnership with equal contribution. The park is to be built in a 50 acre land in Homagama.
Minister of Science and Technology Tissa Witharana has stated that leading firms in the apparel, agriculture and other main industrial sectors have pledged support to develop the park.
