Purdue, Korean scientists to study nanoparticles

Abstract:
Teams of researchers from Purdue University and the Korean Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) will work together to use molecular imaging and nanotechnology to simultaneously diagnose and treat cancer and other diseases.

The $4.5 million research effort, to span nine years and involved dozens of KIST and Purdue scientists, will use theragnosis -- or diagnostics and therapeutics working hand in hand -- to learn more about the makeup of diseases.
