Abstract:
Nanotech Briefs magazine has announced the winners of its third annual Nano 50(TM) awards competition, which recognizes the top 50 technologies, innovators, and products that have significantly impacted, or will impact, the development of nanotechnology. The 50 winners are the most innovative people, designs, and products that will move nanotechnology to key mainstream markets.
Nano 50 nominees were judged by a panel of independent nanotechnology
experts in three categories: Technology, Product, and Innovator. Those
nominations receiving the 50 highest scores were named Nano 50 winners.
This year's winners include:
* Innovator:
Stephen Y. Chou of Princeton University and founder of Nanonex and
NanoOpto Corp.
* Technology:
Xerox Research Centre of Canada for their Printed Electronics technology
* Product:
Starpharma Holdings Limited for their VivaGel(TM) Microbiocide
