ORNL readies for busy summer

Abstract:
Other ORNL facilities also support the neutron-based experiments, particularly the new nanoscience facility - the Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences, where the test results can be used to design and fabricate advanced materials - and the stable of supercomputers. The "Jaguar," a Cray supercomputer housed at the National Center for Computational Sciences, is the nation's fastest computer for open scientific uses and can be used to model materials and simulate experiments, which can then be validated at the neutron facilities.
