A jump-start from TEDCO's TechStart
Abstract:
SD Nanosciences of Beltsville is piecing together a future with technology licenses.
The 7-month-old company, like many biotech startups, is licensing inventions from Maryland's universities, hoping to find a way to use the new field of nanoscience to deliver vaccines to targeted areas of the body.
Now that the technology licenses are in hand, said founder Terry Chase Hazell, an experienced local biotechnology entrepreneur, the company needs to fatten its business plan with information about the market potential of its technologies and their uniqueness from an intellectual property standpoint.
