U.S. Rep. Jim Cooper's 2008 budget requests
Abstract:
Conservative Optical Logic Devices
($2 million) — The primary objective of the FY 08 proposed activity is to design, fabricate, test and analyze nanotechnological optical logic systems based on inventions for a low-cost, small, high speed, zero-power-consumption optical system.
Nanoscience and Biotechnology Laboratory Research Programs and Facilities
($5 million) — Funds will be used to equip and build out the Nanoscience and Biotechnology Laboratory facilities and construct phase II of the Research and Sponsored Programs building (~30,000-square-foot, three-story annex). The facilities will support continued research activities in areas where nanotechnology and biotechnology converge. Continuation of funding at TSU.
