SEMATECH expanding, not moving

Abstract:
SEMATECH has released an official statement concerning the news stories that the R&D organization was planning to move operations to the Albany NanoTech complex in NY State.

According to SEMATECH, its ‘International SEMATECH' headquarters and R&D operations will be established at Albany. These operations, which currently include work on leading-edge lithography, are already located at Albany but will now include work on 3D interconnect, metrology, and other advanced technologies, and will include support from 700 researchers, scientists, engineers, and technicians, SEMATECH said.
