LaVelle wants high tech park
Abstract:
Senator Kenneth P. LaValle announced a proposal on May 4 to create a high technology business park in Calverton to feed off emerging technologies on Long Island, to create greater opportunities for higher paying jobs and to enhance the progression of new technologies.
In his announcement LaValle cited Brookhaven National Laboratory's Center for Functional Nanomaterials as one of the facilities generating new technologies along with Stony Brook University's facilities (Wireless and Information Technology Center, Advanced Energy and Research Center) and the Calverton Incubator.
