Tiny Insulin Pump to Thrill Diabetics
Abstract:
Debiotech, a biotech company in Switzerland, has applied nanotechnology to the insulin pump, resulting in a tiny MEMS applicator that can be affixed to a skin patch and give a diabetic all-day relief with a much lower profile. You don't need needles, and you don't need to wear a bulky pump. Better yet, the skin patch is actually skin-colored, so it blends in with its surroundings.
