New 'supercomputer data centre' to open
Abstract:
A new $100 million (£50.4 million) data centre is to open in North Greenbush next month.
The Computational Centre for Nanotechnology Innovations is chaired by the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, with officials suggesting that it will be one of the most powerful university-based computing centres in the world.
It is hoped the data centre will save the time and costs associated with the manufacture and design of nanoscale materials and devices.
