IBM innovation destined for Albany

Abstract:
A breakthrough in computer chip manufacturing technology developed by IBM Corp. will soon be used at the University at Albany's College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering.

IBM, which is based in Westchester County but conducts research and development at the college, said Thursday it made significant advances in stacking computer chips on top of one another in a three-dimensional configuration.
