Abstract:
Oakland University will host the first annual Michigan Alliance in Nano Science & Engineering (MANSE) symposium on May 14, 2007 at their Rochester , Michigan campus. Dr. Craig R. Friedrich, from Michigan Technological University will deliver the keynote address titled "Research Trends in Nanoscale Science & Engineering."

The symposium intends to create a platform for researchers and entrepreneurs in the fields of nano-scale science and engineering to exchange ideas and promote inter-disciplinary, multi-institutional collaboration. Participants of the MANSE symposium are expected to acquire knowledge of the latest research findings and to identify new partners in other institutions.

The event is co-sponsored by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Michigan Small Tech Association, Oakland University and Oakland County Planning & Economic Development. Sponsorships are still available.
