Main Board Listed Firms Abusing Subsidised Diesel - Shafie

Abstract:
Thirty-nine cases of abuse of subsidised diesel have been detected since December last year and among the culprits are companies listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia.

Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry Datuk Mohd Shafie Apdal disclosed this today but he did not name the firms.

He merely said that among those found to have abused subsidised diesel were diesel wholesalers, factories producing bricks, planks, food, textiles and car accessories, quarries and oil palm plantations.

The ministry had detected the abuse using nanotechnology, he said.
