Green lawyers get together at Keystone

Abstract:
From 10:30 a.m. to noon, concurrent sessions will cover topics including the environment-energy nexus in business transactions, and the question of whether emerging legal and regulatory frameworks for nanoscale materials technology are adequate.

Microscopic nanoparticles are finding their way into a growing number of consumer, industrial, agricultural chemical, and medical product applications and there is concern that technological innovations are outpacing the ability of agencies to regulate potential impacts and risks. An EPA white paper on potential nanotechnology benefits and risks will serve as a starting point for the discussion.
