Sweden bids for EU-backed particle accelerator
Abstract:
Sweden said on Monday it would seek to become home to a multi-million-euro EU-backed particle accelerator research centre to probe the fundamental characteristics of matter.
Scientists hope research on the nature of neutrons will have applications in nanotechnology, chemistry, physics, life-sciences, pharmaceutical development, energy technology, engineering and information technology.
