Tech company on the prowl
Abstract:
The authority also will consider a 5-year, 60 percent tax credit for Zyvex Performance Materials Inc., a suburban Dallas-based producer of materials using nanotechnology.
Zyvex has identified an unspecified Columbus site for a research and development facility and headquarters employing 97, according to the state. The company also has sites in South Dakota and Texas vying for the project.
The company is a subsidiary of Zyvex Corp., a producer of tools and instrumentation for the semiconductor and research industries. It produces specialty materials using engineering processes at the molecular level for the health-care, aerospace, automotive and energy markets.
