"This grant provides a unique opportunity for Qwest to make a difference in the lives of North Dakota students and help inspired teachers do their important work," said Scott Macintosh, Qwest state president for North Dakota.

"The conference planners are very thankful to Qwest for the funding," said Karen Selensky, BSC conference manager. "This grant will help us bring in experts on nanotechnology and weblogs. Without the funding, our conference participants would not have the benefit of learning about these state-of-the-art technologies."
