Samsung, LG Extend Battle to Organic Displays
Abstract:
Other than the traditional sectors, Korean firms are leading in researching new display technologies as well. LG.Philips LCD is co-developing flexible LCDs with a U.S. venture firm e-Paper. Samsung's research center is at the forefront of the carbon nanotube display (CNT) technology, which could offer clearer high-definition screens than plasma or LCDs at a much more affordable price when successfully commercialized.
