The talented Ray Baughman strikes again
Abstract:
Now he's working to develop an exoskeleton that could transform our soldiers into super warriors.
Baughman didn't discover carbon nanotubes, but his genius has come in finding ways to exploit their super strength and light weight. Recently his lab found a way to cause tiny "strings" of nanotubes to contract when an electric charge is applied. They contract when heated and return to their normal position when cooled.
