Abstract:
ALD NanoSolutions, Inc. was presented with the Physical Sciences Company of the Year Award by the University of Colorado Technology Transfer Office, on January 24, 2007. The award honors a Colorado University (CU) licensee company that best demonstrates commercialization achievements and cooperative technology transfer practices with the university.
ALD NanoSolutions has received nine National Science Foundation small business grants for its research. The research, done in partnership with the George and Weimer Laboratories at the University of Colorado - Boulder, is an important part in the company's continuing effort to prove the flexibility of atomic layer deposition in the custom designing of composite particles.
Dr. Karen Buechler, one of the Co-founders of ALD NanoSolutions and its President and Chief Technology Officer, attended the awards banquet, along with ALD NanoSolutions' Co-founders Dr. Alan Weimer and Dr. Steven George, Professors at CU.
The event was hosted in the Historic Tivoli Brewery at the CU downtown Denver campus.
