NanoQuebec NANO2007:
The Nano2007 Conference has the main objective to present NanoQuÈbec's newly adopted marketing strategy to the scientific, industrial, government, financial and economic development communities. The purpose of this strategy is to concentrate energy and investments on the most promising industrial sectors in Quebec and the areas of application that offer the best returns on investment. It is based on the specificity of our research strengths, on Quebec's flag-carrying industries, taking into consideration the extraordinary possibilities related to nanotechnologies. This conference will be the perfect place to:
- See the emergence of new nanotechnology products and services;
- Attend presentations by reputable speakers on the state of R&D for the targeted areas;
- Identify the businesses that are marketing their know-how;
- Discover the strengths of Quebec's research platforms;
- Find potential partners;
- Target potential clients;
- Get to know the needs of the industry.

US Showcase & Coaching Program
Commercialisation of research developments in nanotechnology in order to fully consolidate its contributions to fields such as biotechnology, microelectronics and just about any other domain requires a focal point to facilitate access to capital and world markets. The Canadian Nanotechnology Commercialization Project and US Showcase Coaching Program scheduled to start in Montreal on Feb 7 2007 and later in Boston and New York, will assist Canadian nanotechnology developments to gain access to venture capital and markets in the US. Recognising that crossing the 'Valley of Death' and gaining access to the American market are critical to bringing Canadian developments from the laboratory to the plant floor, Industry Canada jointly with the Consulates General of Canada in Boston and New York, along with Nano QuÈbec, have joined efforts to put together a solid business oriented program aimed at bringing winning Canadian developments to potential US clients. This series of three events of the Technology Partnering and Venture Capital Investment Project in the US Northeast starts off by joining the Nano Quebec NANO2007 national conference to be held on February 7, 2007 at the Hyatt Regency in Montreal. Following this event, there will be two partnering missions in the 1 st quarter of 2007 with one-day events in Boston and at the New York US Nano Business Alliance Conference.
