How can America meet needs of business in high-tech age?
Abstract:
The future of the U.S. economy rests on improving the work force's capacity to invent, produce and manage new high-value/high-skill products and services: think aerotech, biotech, nanotech. These rapid economic and technical changes have triggered a career-culture shockwave across the United States. Parents, business leaders, educators and politicians are just beginning to comprehend the sobering fact that only about 25 percent of our adult population fits comfortably into this emerging world-tech economy. What are we to do?
