DeSimone, Two Other UNC Faculty Members Receive Honors
Abstract:
Joseph DeSimone, an inventor, entrepreneur and scientist whose research helped lead to the finding of tech ventures Micell Technologies and Liquidia, has been named a fellow by the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
Liquidia is a startup focused on the use of nanotechnology and microfluidics. Its technology produces polymers that are liquid at room temperature but solidify during processing and can be used for precise manufacturing of nano-scale materials.
