Dynamics of water nanodroplets
Abstract:
Researchers at the FOM Institute for Atomic and Molecular Physics in Amsterdam, the Netherlands have confined water in reverse micelles in order to study its dynamical properties. The team found that the water layer at the interface of nanodroplets from 0.4–9 nm in size was highly immobile but that water molecules in the micelle core behaved as bulk water.
